We have just returned from Vietnam and had a wonderful time. We spent five days in HCMC and five in Hanoi. The sights, sounds and smells were a great experience. Many thanks to TNK travel and Mr Vu who helped organise the Halong Bay 2 day/1 night cruise. They also organised accomodation, at a price way cheaper then what we could manage.

My husband and I have now returned to New Zealand from our very memorable holiday in Vietnam and Cambodia. TNK booked the Mekong Tour to Phnom Penh for us and our tour guide was JJ. Our Mekong tour was wonderful, mostly due to JJ who looked after us so well in every way. JJ was a very professional, friendly and helpful guide. We would be very grateful if you could forward this email to JJ's manager. We would highly recommend JJ as a tour guide for any foreign visitor to your country. We would like to make one small suggestion about the tour. It would have been helpful to have the correct Cambodia Visa forms prior to our departure on the boat to Phnom Penh. Before our departure from New Zealand, we did download forms from the Cambodian Embassy web site - bu we did download forms from the Cambodian Embassy web site - but on the day, the Cambodian Customs required a different form. The only other comment we would like to offer, and this has nothing to do with the TNK Mekong Tour itself, but we were very concerned about the terrible living condition for the two bears at the Crocodile Park. We have just returned from our second trip to Vietnam. This trip we only had 5 nights in HCMC and surrounding areas. We took two of our friends with us and again used the excellent services of TNK Travel and their fantastic team. All guides were excellent and the service your company provided was of the top order. Our only criticsm would be that some of the hotels provide standard, rather than superior rooms. On our next trip to your delightful country we will most definately call on your services but will use 4 star hotels. The Mekong River is one of the world's 10th rivers in its river length and has great influences upon nature and societies of the Indo-china Peninsula. The name "MEKONG" originate in Thai language, Mae Nam Khong1). The source of the Mekong River is in Tibet mountains and is called Dza Chu River (River of Rock). After running through very narrow valley paralling Yangz Jiang and Salween River, the Mekong reach to Yung-Nan Province of China and is called Lancang Jiang (Turbulent River). Via Golden Triangle, the crossing of China, Myanmer and Laos boarder, the Mekong flow into Vientiane Plain. The term, Lower Mekong means downstream segment from the point.
Day 1 : HCMC - My Tho - Ben Tre - Can Tho ( L / _ ) 8 : 00 AM Pick up at your hotel in HCMC ( To be advised ). Depart for My Tho. Take a leisurely boat ride through Bao Dinh natural canal, which is lined with stilt houses and fruit plantations. Proceed to the Tortoise island and have lunch in the heart of the orchard. Enjoy a boat ride through Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadows of the water coconut trees.
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh city - My Tho - Ben Tre - Chau Doc : 8 : 00 AM Pick up at your hotel in HCM ( to be advised ). Depart for My Tho. Take a boat ride through the Bao Dinh natural canal, which is lined with stilt houses and fruit plantations. Visit the My Tho wholesale fruit market. Proceed to Tortoise island and enjoy lunch served in the heart of the orchard
Cycling into the heart of the Mekong Delta - Join us and experience the real Vietnam Day 1 : HCMC – My tho – Vinh Long ( L / D ) Day 2 : Vinh Long – Cantho ( B / L / D ) Day 3 : Cantho – Cai Rang – Phong Dien – HCMC ( B / L / _ )
11.30am: Pick up at your hotel in Phnom Penh and transfer to the boat pier for boarding the Blue Cruiser Express boat to Chau Doc. Arrive at Chau Doc around 3.30pm. Pick up and transfer to your chosen hotel. Enjoy an hour's cruise down the Lower Mekong River. In the afternoon, visit Sam Mountain and the cave pagoda. The Mekong River, the longest river in Indochina, is divided into nine tributaries within Vietnam and has spawned the vast Mekong Delta. The Mekong Delta is often referred as the 'rice bowl' and the 'garden of heaven', because of its rich soil which is ideal for growing fruit, vegetables and flowers.
